Our services that we provide and the essential third party elements of the funeral service.

After losing someone, there is a fair amount of planning and organisation required in the short period after death.

Kyle Bros aims to ease the pressure that the bereaved family encounters

at this time. We are able to guide you through each important stage of the arrangements until the funeral service and beyond.

We are available for advice at each stage and also to those who are thinking of planning ahead for future funeral arrangements.

Services that we provide.

a.  First Call - We are available in the instance that someone dies at home

or care home and we must bring them in to our care.

We offer our services over a 24 hour time period for this purpose.

b.  Professional Advice - As mentioned above, we freely offer the most

suitable advice and information at any time.

We will offer the bereaved family the choices to enable them to come

to an informed decision. Our qualified staff are experienced and are able

to answer most of your queries.

c.  Premises  - Kyle Bros  has modern and comprehensive premises.

We have well appointed arranging rooms, Chapel of Rest for viewing

and a mortuary with up to date facilities to care for your loved one.

d.  Vehicles - We oparate a Volvo hearse and cars for every funeral.

     The customer chooses when and where the vehicles depart from ie;

the family home or we can depart from our own premises at Maxwellheugh.

We can also wait at any catering venue when the need arises at

     no extra cost.

e. Dressing of Deceased - This important duty is carried out in our

Kelso (maxwellheugh premises). We carry out your instructions as far

as possible and you have choice to decide the clothing best suited

    for the deceased.

We can dress the deceased in their own clothes or special outfit.

f.  Embalming - We only carry out embalming with your permission.

Embalming is sometimes advisable to view the deceased in a more natural

way because it removes some of the colour changes that often occur

naturally after death has taken place. Emblaming also preserves and

sanitises the deceased until the funeral service and is essential where there

is a long period between death and the funeral service.

g.  Coffins / Casket - We provide you with a wide choice to suit both your

prefrence and the cost that suits you best. We don't pressurise you

in to taking the most expensive, the choice is yours!

h. We also offer to provide hymn sheets, attendance cards, urns for cremated

remains (Ashes), inserting newspaper notices and advice on grave purchase.
